About Gary

Gary is a counsellor, performance and resilience coach, and speaker known for his grounded, direct approach. He works with adults and older adolescents who want clarity, confidence, and direction — whether navigating personal challenges, professional pressure, or rebuilding resilience after difficult experiences.

His understanding of people comes from more than professional training. It comes from surviving extreme challenges in his own childhood and years of therapy that, in many ways, saved his life. Gary made a promise to himself that if he ever found a way through, he would use what he had learned to help others do the same. That promise shapes every aspect of his work.

Gary has extensive experience supporting vulnerable children, young people, and adults in schools, children’s homes, and community settings. That background gave him a profound understanding of trauma, behaviour, and resilience — insight he now brings to the adults and older adolescents he supports today.

Gary’s career has taken him through some of the toughest and most high-pressure environments imaginable — supporting adults facing homelessness, extreme addiction, and trauma, as well as security roles in the UK and overseas, often in hostile environments. These experiences, combined with decades of professional training and personal development, have built a rare and highly effective set of skills. He now brings this toolkit together to help individuals and groups manage stress, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Today, Gary works with:
– adults seeking counselling, coaching, or emotional support
– individuals aged 16+ aiming to rebuild resilience, confidence, and purpose
– veterans, emergency services, athletes, and high-pressure professionals
– groups and organisations seeking workshops or talks on stress, burnout, resilience, and performance

Gary’s talks and workshops are known for their honesty, impact, and clarity. He shares enough of his story to inspire and connect, leaving the most powerful lessons for the room — where real change happens.

Gary’s belief is simple:
No matter how difficult your past, it is always possible to rebuild, redirect, and rise. Sometimes all it takes is one honest conversation to begin.
